I know this website is dedicated to Oscar nominated films, but I really felt like doing some write-ups on my favorite movie franchises. These are the movie franchises that I could, and often do, watch over and over again, and they never fail to entertain me. Go figure – they are all either science fiction or fantasy. See, I love going into a movie that will take me out of my present life, and plop me down into something that I could never see in real life. Movies like this really fire my imagination, and that is never a bad thing. In alphabetical order – my favorite franchises are:

- Indiana Jones
- Lord of the Rings
- The Matrix
- The Marvel Cinematic Universe
- Star Trek
- Star Wars
A recent trend that I absolutely love is character posters. So in addition to screen shots, I think it would be fun to include all the beautifully composed character posters I can find. For the older films, there are none, but I have collected pictures of the characters or promotional shots that I really enjoy. I hope you enjoy them, too.
And who knows, maybe at some point, I’ll add more franchises that I discover! That’s one of the cool things about having my own blog. No rules!
